Helpful Tip #1
When choosing you hall to have your wedding. Take into account were the dance floor is going to be. If you require tables to be set up on the dance
floor do to space problems keep these few things in mind. When the staff takes down the tables they are going to take away from the wedding because
of all the noise. A second point is that there will need to be more time given between the dinner and the dance to allow the clean up of tables and the
floor. This is the number one cause for the dance not to start on time.
Helpful Tip #2
Although for $100 you may be able to hire your neighbor and his boom box, don't risk it. Hire a professional DJ. A DJ is only as good as the CDs he
or she brings. Even though the pros have an inventory of zillions, make a list of specific songs you want to ensure that they bring them with. If you
want your DJ to also act as a master of ceremonies, be prepared to pay for two people-a front person and a DJ. Remember you always get what you pay for!
Helpful Tip #3
Aside from obvious musical questions, interview disk jockeys the same way you would other vendors. Ask the following .... What the DJ will wear? That the DJ will check out the electrical requirements and acoustics at your venue, especially if the Dj hasnt worked there before.....What the equipment looks like whether the DJ needs a draped table.......Whether the DJ plans on using any theatrical lighting or any other effects such as bubbles or smoke. These are only a few suggestions.

We have heard of too many weddings where either their DJ cancels without giving notice (most of the time beacuse they get a higher paying job) or they take your money and do not show up.
